CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc. Provides Mission Critical Components to USS Freedom, Nation’s First Littoral Combat Ship

CORONA, CA – September 25, 2008 -- CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc. is pleased to be a supplier of the engine start manifolds for the first Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) designed and developed by the Lockheed Martin/Marinette Marine LCS team for the United States Navy. CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc.; under the Circle Seal Controls brand, provides four independent high pressure manifold assemblies powering critical pneumatic systems on the latest addition to the US fleet. These manifolds control the ship propulsion turbine start system and consist of numerous relief valves and pneumatic flow controls used throughout the ship to meet complex mission requirements. Leslie Controls, a product line within the CIRCOR International (NYSE: CIR) Thermal Fluid Controls group located in Tampa, Florida, also supports the LCS program by supplying a fuel oil pressure control valve for the gas turbine engines. “CIRCOR Aerospace is proud to be a consistent and reliable supplier of systems and component controls on the LCS and other naval programs and we send out our congratulations to the LCS Team,” noted Christopher Celtruda, Group Vice President of CIRCOR Aerospace Products. The USS Freedom was delivered to the U.S. Navy on September 18, 2008 will be commissioned by the US Navy ion Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 8, 2008 at an event co-sponsored by CIRCOR.
